Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the voice recording, transcription, and AI summarization application "Muon" (the "App"), operated by ReNALNE, Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

The App provides:

  • voice recording;
  • AI-powered transcription of recorded audio;
  • AI-powered summarization of transcription text;
  • recording operation and data sync via Apple Watch;
  • integration with Apple ecosystem features including Widgets, the Action Button, and Live Activity.

2. Pricing and Subscription

2.1 Free Trial

The first 3 days after installation provide full access to all features at no cost. No charges occur during the trial period.

2.2 Subscription

To continue using recording features after the trial, a paid subscription is required:

  • Monthly plan: ¥800 / month (tax included)
  • Annual plan: ¥6,000 / year (tax included; approximately 37% off the monthly rate)

After the trial ends, you may continue to view and play back data (recordings, transcriptions, summaries) created prior to the trial's end, without an active subscription. Only the creation of new recordings is locked.

2.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are auto-renewed via the Apple App Store. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, your subscription will renew automatically on the same plan.

2.4 Cancellation

To cancel your subscription, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. After cancellation, you may continue to use your subscription until the end of the current billing period.

2.5 Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple App Store policy. We do not issue refunds directly.

3. Usage Limits

The following usage limits apply:

  • Per recording: up to 90 minutes (automatic stop)
  • Monthly total: up to 30 hours
  • Continuous Apple Watch recording: up to 10 minutes (per Apple Watch platform constraints)

Recordings made on Apple Watch are automatically transferred to iPhone upon completion, where transcription is then performed.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • comply with all applicable laws, including copyright, privacy, and recording consent laws;
  • obtain the consent of any third party whose conversation you record, as may be required by applicable law;
  • not use the App for any illegal, unethical, or rights-infringing purposes;
  • not circumvent the App's security features, reverse engineer the App, or modify it.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including its content, design, and code, belong to us or our licensors. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App under these Terms.

You retain ownership of the content you record and generate with the App (recordings, transcriptions, summaries).

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of transcriptions or summaries generated by the App. We are not liable for any decisions or actions you take based on such output.
  • The App is provided "as is" without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose.
  • We are not responsible for any service interruption resulting from issues with third-party services (Cloudflare Workers AI, Google Gemini API, Apple StoreKit, etc.).
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

7. Modification or Discontinuation of Service

We may modify or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, with prior notice. In case of emergency, changes may be made without prior notice.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. Material changes will be communicated via the App or our website. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the App shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

10. Language

The original version of these Terms is in Japanese. In case of any discrepancy between the Japanese version and any translation, the Japanese version shall prevail.
